Wow, so apparently it has been over 2 years since I last updated this thing. That is crazy. I blame Facebook!
But now that I live so far from most everyone I know I've decided I should start updating again.
Adventures in Edmonton Week 1 can be found on my Facebook in a note. From now on I'll try to update this thing every once in awhile when I have time!
So here goes...
Sunday (9): Cole and I went for brunch at the place up the street. There was a big line out the door, but we talked to some nice people behind us and it wasn't so bad. The food was awesome as per usual. I had crepes, mmmm... with blueberries and whipped cream! I swear if I had the money I would never cook and just eat there all the time! After breakfast Cole and I went and wandered Whyte Ave a bit and then we went to the Wee Book Inn. We both spent way too much money on used books. After about an hour in there my arms were full and I had to potty and I had a headache so I left Cole there and came home and played some Sims 3 (yay for Crystal!). The rest of the evening was rather dull as I had a massive headache.
The work Week: Not a lot to tell about the week. Just working mostly. Monday I had a killer headache all day and so was rather miserable. Cole and I started watching Dollhouse. We've seen the first 2 episodes so far. The first one was kinda meh, the second one was better. Hopefully it keeps getting better! We officially met our downstairs neighbours, they are moving in this weekend. Did a whole bunch of laundry. It's soooo nice not to have to do stupid coin laundry anymore!! I loves it!
Friday (14): My birthday, huzzah!! Got a present in the mail from Crystal and she knows me way too well, so it's awesome of course! Went to work and that kinda sucked. Hate working my birthday, but i would have just been sitting home lonely if I had taken it off. One of the IT guys got me a cake though, so that was awesome and made the afternoon much better. Strawberry Shortcake sugar high, wooohoooo!
After work Sherry and her husband took me to the pet store and I got all the starter stuff for getting kitties. Got a litter box and food and all that fun stuff. Spent too much money, I think I'm going to have spoiled rotten kitties!
Came home and changed and headed out again. We took the bus to West Edmonton Mall. It's a really long bus ride, but at least it's only one bus. We met up with Paula and tried to go to the Old Spaghetti Factory but they said it'd be like 45 min for a table so we said no way. Tried Mr. Mikes and it was 30 min, so no. Tried a pub and it was seat yourself, but there were no seats. Finally found a table in a place called Sherlock Holmes Pub. I had bangers and mash and it was actually pretty good. At least this city seems to be good at food! After dinner we went to see GI Joe. The theatre was insane busy! and It was like 9:30. Didn't end up being able to use my gift certs because there was like a 20 min line. Movies here are expensive compaired to Victoria! Then couldn't get a drink or anything because again disgusting lines. There were like no seats left so Paula had to go sit by herself poor girl, and we had to sit in the front row on the side. My neck hurts now from trying to see all of the screen at once. But it's okay because it was pretty good! Chris Ecelstein makes a pretty darn good bad guy! It wasn't even all super pro american, I was quite suprized!
Then we took the super long bus home and now I should go to bed.
We have an appointment to go look at some kittens tomorrow afternoon. I'm excited!
Okay, must sleep.

I really do keep meaning to update more often, and I go to update and think, well it's only been a few days, and then realize it's been like 10 days or something. Time goes by way way way too fast!!
Saturday (16): Last taco slave shift. It was pretty crappy, really super busy! Gah! Got some groceries after work. Don't remember what I did after that.
Sunday (17): Father's day, so I spent the day with Dad. He came and picked me up and we drove to Chemainus and picked up Amy. From there we drove to Ladysmith and had lunch at Ricky's, then headed to Nanaimo.
We went for a walk around the harbour and played in the park. We played on the playground, then played tag. Got some ice cream in the park, and then we went swimming. Didn't do any serious laps or anything cause of Amy, but it was still fun, we just played in the Wave pool the whole time.
After swimming we got some groceries and had a bbq at dad's house. Yummy food, had a good time. AFter dinner Dad drove us home.
Monday (18): Started my new job. It was kinda scary, but not too bad. Everyone I work with seems really nice. Job is a bit overwhelming at times, but I think it'll be okay.
After work I came home and played video games.
Tuesday (19): Second day of work. Still pretty overwhelming, but I'm learning a lot really fast, it's pretty neat.
Another pretty lazy night after work.
Wednesday (20): Day 3 of work. Starting to feel more comfortable, but still kinda scary. Had to make lots of phone calls to people I've never met. Wee.
Got some groceries after work. Passed out at like 8:30, i'm soo old!
Thursday (21): Not feeling very well in the morning, but off to work anyway, was feeling better by about an hour into work. Still learning lots.
AFter work I came home and Cole had bought me my Wii finally!!! Played it all night, it's soo much fun!
Friday (22): Up and off to work, first friday on the job. Friday afternoons are soo long and slow!
After work I came home and played with my Wii all night, hehehe.
Saturday (23): Up super early to head to Vancouver with Cole to see Serenity. Stupid bus schedual was all messed up, so we spent like an hour waiting at the bus stop, not a great start to the day. Made it to downtown Vancouver around 12, more than an hour later than we wanted, boo. Went to Pacific Centre and went to EB, didn't find anything good though. Had lunch in the food court, mmm... vietnamese food. Went to the manga shop on Granville street.
Then it was time to head to the theatre. The event was awsome. Everyone there was so excited and happy. So many people showed up in costume and stuff, it was really neat. They gave some speeches and prizes and stuff before the movie. They played a taped speech by Joss Whedon, it was pretty funn. Then Jewel Staite went up and introduced the movie, that was great. Then the movie, which was awsome as always, so cool to see it on the big screen though, and with an audiance. You could tell most peole had seen the movie a lot because people kept laughing before the funny bits.
After the movie I got some pics of Jewel signing autographs for people and stuff. I was too chicken to go ask for one myself of course.
After the event was over we headed back home. Another super long time on buses and ferries. Got home just in time to go to bed.
Sunday (24): AFter breakfast Crystal came over and we played Wii sports. The Wii is so great, even sports games are soooo fun! We went down to visit Rosalie at Taco Time for lunch. I had to turn in my other uniform shirt.
Rented Rayman's Raving Rabbids and got some pop and chips. Came back home and played with Crystal some more, then Rosalie came over when she got off work. We spent the night playing Wii, it was so much fun! We played Rayman's and Gold and Bowling and Boxing and stuff, it was super fun.
After they went home I just had dinner and then went to bed.
Monday (25): Start of week 2 of work. Getting more comfortable and I can do quite a bit of my job now. Today my boss was joking I was playing CSI: Planet Organic cause I was doing dectective type work all morning, hehe.
AFter work I got some groceries and came home and made pizza, then played some more Raymans. Well I should shower and go to bed now, gotta be in bed in a hour. Boo for having to go to bed at 10.

Wednesday (06): Umm.. Went to work. After work I went down to London Drugs and got a new memory stick for my camera with the gift card from my grandparents. Got some groceries and came home. Made dinner and spent the night playing games I think.
Thursday (07): Long day at work. Split Shift. So I was there for 10 hours, fun times. Didn't do much other than go to work.
Friday (08): Short day at work. After work I did laundry and cleaned the house a bit.
Saturday (09): First day of vacation! Packed. Cleaned the house. Spent a lot of the day very very bored.
Sunday: (10): Vancouver day 1. Got up at 5:45am, ugg. Rose and Jeremy picked me up at 6:30 then we picked up crystal and Jeremy drove us to the ferry. We caught the 8am ferry. One ferry ride, 2 bus rides, and 3 hours later we got to our hotel. It was only 11, so we checked in, stored our bags and headed out.
We caught the skytrain out to Metrotown and did some shopping. Crystal's friend Jenna met us there. We had lunch at the yummy Japanese place from last year. I bought like 4 shirts, a skirt, and a cd. There didn't seem to be nearly as much I wanted as last year.
When the mall closed at 6 we headed to Chinatown for the night market. It was pretty cool. I got a yummy steamed pork bun, they're soo good, very sweet though!
After the market we headed to our hotel, dropped our stuff and went for dinner. We went to a place on Davie called Characters. Mom and I had been there in february. It was really yummy.
After dinner we just went back to the hotel and watched tv until we fell asleep.
Monday (11): Vancouver day 2. Slept in a bit. Went to a coffee place down the street for muffins, then headed to the little boats to Granville Island. Spent several hours wandering around granville island. Had lunch there too, the food court there is super yummy. We played in the arcade in the kid's market too. it's soo much fun. We actually won enough tickets this time to get 3 bouncy balls and an alien paratrooper, hehe.
AFter granville island we caught a boat back, then walked along the water all the way to Stanley Park. Walked through Stanley Park along Lost Lagoon and took pictures. The park is nice. It's more wild and much less flowery than Beacon Hill Park.
When we got tired of walking we caught a bus back to our hotel. We went for dinner on Davie street again, this time at a little Persian food place. The sign outside said they served Vegetarians, it was funny. It was actually really really good, though my fish still had his head on. Creeped me out a little, so I made it stare at Crystal through dinner, hehehe.
Again after dinner we were really tired so we called it a night.
Tuesday (12): Vancouver day 3. We got up early, so we decided to go for dim sum in Chinatown. We almost didn't leave cause this dumb movie, Cry Baby, came on, and we couldn't stop watching it.
We did finally leave though, and made it to chinatown in time for cheap dim sum. It was sooo yummy, we went to the place mom and I went, Jade Dynasty. It was only $20 for the 3 of us and it was so good!
After dim sum we did some shopping in chinatown. I got a new wallet. Then we went to the Garden thing there. We went through the pay part this time too. It's soo perdy, I took lots of pictures. After that crystal needed coffee, then we headed back to town.
We decided to do some shopping on Robson street. When we got off the skytrain Rose had to potty, so we stopped at a mall and we found Jenna! It was a bit creepy to find her randomly in such a big city.
We did soem shopping and then went to Fog and Sudds for a late lunch. It was really yummy. Jenna came with us. Rose and I had virgin daqueris, mmmm.
AFter lunch we shopped the other side of Robson street. We went to the huge HMV and I bought 2 movies, and the first 2 seasons of Sliders. It was only $35 for 2 seasons, I couldn't say no.
AFter Robson we went down granville street. I got a present for cole and crystal got a new purse.
We went back to the hotel to get changed, but then we never quite got around to leaving again. We watched tv all night and got hyper on sugar. We got takeout for dinner from a greek place, it was pretty good.
Wednesday (13): Vancouver day 4. Got up and packed. Checked out and stored our luggage, then went to starbucks. Then we headed to the seabus. The seabus was kinda fun cause i'd never been on it before. We went to the Lonsdale Quay. We took some pictures from this really high tower thing. We wandered around the market, there was some really neat stuff, but a lot of it was really expensive. Didn't actually buy anything.
Went to a british pub for lunch. Rose and I had toads in a hole, yummy!! It was a pretty neat little place.
AFter lunch we wandered around the pier and sailor's point. Then we decided we should start home. it was 2pm when we decided to head home and I didn't get home until almost 8. It's a long trip from north van to vic by public transit. We took the seabus, then the skytrain to our hotel. Grabbed our luggage, then caught 2 busses to teh ferry. Had dinner on the ferry. Mmm.. sandwiches and Ice cream.
Then one more bus and I was home. I was soo tired, I unpacked when I got home and that's about all I did.
Thursday (14): Day off. Had a really super lazy day. Slept in. Spent almost all day watching Sliders. I watched the entire first season. Also played some pokemon.
Friday (15): Much more productive day. Got up and went to the bank, then the chiropractor, then walmart, got a new portable phone, then I went and got some groceries. Came home and did some dishes.
After that I started being lazy, played pokemon, watched sliders, had a nap. It's amazing how much of vancouver I can recognize in sliders now since we've been going every year. There was an episode where like half of it was filmed in the chinese garden. There is one where they're hanging around science world. One where they're in the burard skytrain station. it's funny.
Saturday (16): Well it's 8:30 and I've already been awake for an hour! I'm trying to practice being a morning person. I work my last taco slave shift today!! Then I start my new job on monday, i'm a bit scared.
Well I guess I should go get dressed and take off my nail polish. I'm sad my vacation is over!

Well it has been another busy week. Longer than a week actually. Let's see what I remember.
Monday: Played Pokemon I think, and went to work. Don't really remember.
Tuesday: I think I did something in the morning, but I can't remember what. Went to work. Didn't have to close so it wasn't too bad.
Wednesday: Cole started his new job today. He has to get up early now, haha. Got up and went to the chiropractor. Got some groceries and came home. Did some house work I think, then went off to work. Work was super boring.
Thursday: Got up early and spent the day shopping with Rosalie. We went to Tillicum and then to Mayfair. I bought a bunch of new clothes for my new job and for summer. And we looked at tonnes of adorable baby stuff! Had lunch at the Edo Japan in Tillicum. It's soo yummy, too bad the one in Bay Centre is nasty. Went from Mayfair to work, and it was horrible torture of doom! It was so super mega busy and hot, ugg it sucked. Just barely made the bus home!
Friday: We've made it to June! Got up and went to work. Came home and went on a cleaning rampage. Did some laundry too. And watched some Firefly.
In the evening Dad and I went for Vietnamese food for dinner. It was pretty yummy.
Saturday: Up and off to work. Worked with Rose and it was pretty fun cause it was pretty dead. We were making ice tea slushies, hehe.
Crystal picked us up from work and we went and saw Pirates 3. So Fucking Awsome! As soon as it was over I wanted to go watch it again!!
After the movie we went to The Reef for dinner. I had some soup and yam fries, it was very yummy. AFter dinner we were all super tired so we went home, cause we're cool and can't stay awake past 11 anymore. Man we're getting old! Hehehe.
Sunday: Cole and I did lots of laundry in the morning. Then I had to go to work. My last closing shift I hope, huzzah! It was alright, busy enough to keep me occupied but not crazy busy or anything.
Monday: Day off! Spent most of the day cleaning the house. Did even more laundry. We need to do laundry more often, I used an entire roll of loonies in 4 days, and there is still lots of laundry left.
In the evening I got a really bad headache so I watched some Firefly, then watched Serenity.
Tuesday: Graduation day! Had to get up stupid early. Got to school at like 8am and picked up my cap and gown, then went and sat in a room for like 2 hours. There was only me and 1 other girl there when I got there. Within an hour though the room was really crowded. Mostly sat and watched other people, I only knew like 2 people in my room and they both showed up rather late.
Our marshall showed up really late too, so one from another room had to come and line us up. The girl infront of me was friends with someone I know who introduced us, so I didn't have to be alone, it was nice.
The ceremony was kinda scary, but mostly it was pretty boring. People in funny hats gave a bunch of speeches. And of course I was near the end, so I got to watch everyone else, which was kinda nice so I knew what to do.
When it was my turn I had to stand for a pic, then walk across the stage and bow so I could get hit in the head by the chancellor's hat. Then I got my diploma and got to go do some more sitting! I graduated with distinction. I totally didn't even know. When I saw it in the program in the staging room I had to ask the girl beside me what it meant, hehehe. Apparently it means I had a good GPA in my last 2 years.
After the ceremony I met up with Andrew, Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Grandpy at the reception. We didn't stay long though. Mom gave me my grad present, a new digital camera!!!! Andrew had taken pics of the ceremony with it for me.
We went out to Irish Times for lunch. It was soo yummy. And so nice to have the most of the important parts of my family all together.
After lunch Grandma and Grandpy drove me home and I had a nap. Then Mom and Triss showed up and Me, Mom, Triss, Cole, Andrew, Dad, and Rachel all went for dinner. We went to Sen Zushi. The service was terrible, but the food was so very very yummy! It was wierd though, it was a Tuesday at like 8pm and every table in the place was full. No wonder the service was bad, they didn't have enough people working to deal with it. Had a good time though.
After dinner Cole and I came home and I put all my pics on the computer and on facebook, then it was bed time. Long day, soo tired.
Wednesday: My first day as officially no longer a student. So far I've had breakfast. Gotta go to work in an hour. Only 3 shifts left as a taco slave. We leave for vancouver on sunday, i'm really excited, and now I can take lots of pictures! My grandparents gave me a gift cert for london drugs so I'm going to go after work and buy a bigger memory stick for my new camera.
Okay, I should get dressed.

Monday: Got up rediculously early and went off to the Victoria Day Parade with Crystal. We walked down to Larch and Douglas and watched it from there. It was really awsome. So many bands! And there were actually 2 marching bands from BC!! It was pretty sweet cause I'd never been able to go see it before. My feet were completely numb after standing for 3 hours though.
After the parade we came back here and had some lunch, then watched some Delta State and Simpsons. Then I had to go to work, boo. Work was only 4 1/2 hours though, so that wasn't too bad.
Got some groceries at the new Fairway by work before comming home. I'm glad it's there now since the one by my house is officially gone. Boo stupid walmart.
Tuesday: Can't remember what I did during the day so it must've been dull. Had to work stupid taco tuesday again. God was it horrible. Just about had a nervous breakdown or something. I was like shaking and starting to hyperventilate. It was not cool at all. So busy, so many crack heads. So many small children who's parents don't love them.
Wednesday: Pretty sure it was another pretty lazy morning because i can't remember anything special. Went off to work in the evening. Much less terrible of a night. Actually it was pretty boring.
Thursday: Up early and off to work. Had to do a split shift because someone called in sick. Worked for 4 hours, then went downtown and met cole for lunch. We went to Irish Times and it was yummy. Then I went and got the rest of Crystal's birthday present.
Then I had to go back to work for another 4 hours, yay. Got some groceries on the way home.
Friday: Had my second interview. I got the job, woo!! I'm now the File Clerk at Planet Organic. It's a nice real job, i'm really excited about starting!! Grabbed a few groceries on teh way home. Walked there and back cause it was a nice day. Pretty muggy though. It's only about a 20-25 minute walk, so that's pretty cool. Or there are 2 busses I can take, so it's all good.
CAme home and had lunch then headed off to work. I hate fridays. It was dead until there were only 2 of us, then it was crazy till we closed. Barely got out in time for the bus. Oh well, last of my 9 days straight.
Saturday: Happy Birthday Crystal!! Got up early and went and met Rose and Crystal and we wandered around Gordon Head and went to a bunch of Garage Sales. I got a new roasting pan, yay! It's a nice small one which is nice cause it's rediculous to cook a 2 pound roast in the giant pan I have.
After we got tired we went back to Rosalie's for a bit, then went to the Maude Hunter's Pub for lunch. It was super yummy, I had salmon and garlic prawns, mmmm.
After lunch we headed to Crystal's. Damn is her new house ever nice, and bleeding huge! Rose and I are plotting to move into the basement, she'll never notice we're there! Or we could live in the playhouse in the back yard. It was power, cable, and it's own garden! I'm so jelous!
We spent the afternoon/evening hanging around eating too much sugar and talking. Carol came over a bit after we got there, but she left after a few hours. We played Simpsons Monopoly hyped up on sugar, and I spent a lot of time laying on the floor cause I was laughing too hard. Good Times.
We went for a walk down to the beach and back in the dark. Then Ken drove us home cause we're old loosers now and were all exhausted by like 11pm.
Sunday: Nice day off at home. Cole and I were fairly productive. I did laundry and he did dishes and we both worked on cleaning the living room. We moved some posters and pictures around, put up a few new ones, and built the new shelf mom brought me from ikea last week. Now all my movies and such fit in one place, huzzah. Actually now I have a bit too much space, I guess that means I have to buy more movies and video games right? Hehe.
Spent the rest of the day playing Pokemon. Just need a few more levels then I can take on the Elite Four, yay!
Monday: Well I just woke up really. I guess I should have some breakfast. Maybe try to get something done before work. Starting another long week. But that's okay, I graduate in a week tomorrow!! Then we go to vancouver, then I start my new job! June is looking like a busy, but good month.
Okay, really hungry now.

Yay, I win!! I have a real job!!
I even get my own office!!!!
I start June 18th and work Tues - Sat 8:30-5. Ugg that's early.
I'm so excited I think I'm going to explode!!!
It'll be nice to have a real, perminant, schedual instead of week to week.
I need to buy new clothes!!
Well anyway, real post later tonight (maybe), now I need some lunch!

Monday: Not a good day. Woke up in a terrible mood, and stayed that way all day. I was grumpy and pouty. Going to work made it even worse, and added anger to my list of bad feelings.
Tuesday: Started as a much better day. Got a job interview. Cole and I went to get groceries in the nice sunshine.
Then I went to work, and even that was okay, despite being tuesday, until about 8. Then I burnt myself badly, and it was really busy and the money was all wrong. I think it was pretty much the worst night at work ever!
Wednesday: Much better day, no work! And it was Tristram's b-day. Damn scary he's 5 already! Got up and went to the chrio, then walked to rosalie's. Mom and Triss picked us up from there and we went and got Alana. We all went for Dim Sum, yummy!!
After that we dropped off Alana, then went to the new Build-A-Bear. I bought some pirate clothes for my monkey. Triss made a bear, and he was very excited about it. After there we went to the park for a few minutes to see the baby goats, and then mom dropped me and Rose off here.
AFter Rose went home I fell asleep for like 3 hours, oops. Got up and made some dinner and spent the night playing games.
Thursday: Had my job interview! I left early and walked there. Got there stupidly early so I killed time in London Drugs. I think the interview went pretty well. I'm supposed to have a second interview next week. It's down to me and one other person, so I have a 50% chance of getting the job. I really hope I do, cause it sounds awsome, and it's like a real job!
Walked to Save-on and dropped off my film, then came home for a bit before heading for work. Work wasn't too bad, nice and short anyway.
Friday: Pretty lazy morning. Spent most of it playing video games. Went off to work, that wasn't too bad, some crazy people though.
Saturday: Up and off to work. Too early! Work was crazy busy and dumb. But then finally it was over and Rose and I went and picked up my film and got some groceries. Rose came here for a bit, then I walked her to the bus.
I made beef rouladin (sp?) for dinner. It was super yummy!! I hadn't had it in soo long.
Mom bought me another Ikea shelf, and dad dropped it off, so now all my movies will fit in one place, huzzah!
Sunday: Lazy morning, just played video games again. Then it was work time. Work was so incredibly dead!! I read a bunch of my book, hehe. It's really good, just rather brain hurty.
Now I should be getting ready for bed cause Crystal is going to be here really early so we can go see the parade!!!! I'm excited, I hope it isn't pouring rain!

Yay! I have a job interview on Thursday. Bit scary, I haven't had an interview in over 2 years.
Yay for job interviews! And I have cake in the oven and lots of fresh fruit!! Despite it being tuesday today is looking much much better than yesterday.
Wow it's 22C outside!!!
Anyway, real coherent post to be made later, ttfn!

Saturday: Not a good day. Woke up really sick, but went to work anyway. Spent the day in a graval induced haze.
After work I grabbed some ginger ale and soup, and then went home and went to sleep for like 3 1/2 hours. Got up, had some dinner, then went back to bed.
Sunday: Luckily feeling fine again today. Wierd. Got up and did laundry and ran the dishwasher. Also bleached the counters and washed the cupboard doors today. Spent a lot of today playing Maple Story too, yay for double exp.
In the evening Crystal came over and we met Rose at the curling club for the Finger Eleven concert.
The first band, Strata, was pretty good. I'd like to find some of there music. The second band, Inward Eye (i think) was alright.
Lots of waiting around was involved in the night, but it was worth it. Finger Eleven was awsome. They only played a few songs from their new album that I haven't heard, so I knew most of the songs. The one guitar guy was really crazy. I thought he was going to wack the guy behind him with his guitar. He was like swinging it around and playing it above his head and stuff. Pretty spiffy to watch.
So yet, concert was awsome!
Now I think i need to eat and go to bed though. My ears are kinda cottony feeling.

Wednesday: Ended up being too lazy to go job hunting. Did some laundry and dishes and played pokemon instead. Went off to work, that was alright, kinda busy though.
Thursday: Got up early and got ready to go job hunting, but then mom called and said she'd had another heart attack, wee. So I didn't feel like going anywhere and spent most of the day playing Pokemon. Cole and I did go get a bunch of groceries though, so it wasn't totally lazy.
Went off to work, that was pretty boring, but only 4 hours. Got a few more groceries and rented some movies on the way home.
Friday: Day off! And a good one too. Got a call from mom, she had an angio this morning. They can't find anything wrong with her heart, so now they're sending her to a hematologist, they think it might have been a blood clot. Fun times.
Spent a nice morning with Cole. Sat out on the porch in the sunshine and played pokemon for over an hour. Now I have porch rail tan on my legs, super sexy! Did a few loads of dishes.
In the afternoon Mom, Jamie, and Triss came and picked me up and we went for late lunch at the german place. Super yummy. Mom's doing good, she's just very bruised and limping pretty bad, but she'll be fine in a few days.
After lunch they dropped me off at home and I did some more dishes and took the stove apart for a good cleaning.
In the evening Dad showed up and we went off to the commonwealth pool. I swam 32 laps, then tread water for 20 minutes straight. Sooo sore and tired now!!
After swimming Dad convinced me to try The Reef with him for dinner. I was scared at first that everything would be way too spicy, but it was actually pretty good. We just split a few appatizers. The jerk chicken was good, but it burnt my face off. But the calamari was good, and the pomodores (?), and the yam fries were super amazing.
NOw I have a bed with nice clean sheets on it calling my name, and i'm very exhausted. Gotta work in the morning too. Off to bed I go.
Hahaha, this song is so funny. It made no sense to me forever! Then when mom and I were grocery shopping in Seattle I discovered that Bumble Bee is a brand of american tuna. It made me laugh in the store for almost 20 minutes. Especially because you can get tuna in a bag. They make chicken breast in a bag too, i have one in my cupboard.
Right... bed time.

Monday: Spent the day working on my last lesson plan. Went to the chiropractor.
Taught my last lesson. It went pretty well. We had a brief party at the break cause it was my last day. I'm kinda going to miss it, yet i'm also really glad it's over. Far too much stress!!
Tuesday: Spent most of the morning working on my practicum portfolio. Went to my last Conversation club! Had like 4 students. Bought a wireless adapter for my DS while I was downtown.
Went off to work. First Taco Tuesday I've worked this year. It was busy and dumb. Stupid tacos.
Wednesday: Another day of working on my portfolio and then going to work. Work was so incredibly dead. I finished reading my book, finally. Now I'm reading Science of Discworld. It's a bit hard on the brain, but very good.
Thursday: Day off! Worked on my portfolio some more. Dad got out of jail. He came to pick me up and we went downtown for dinner. Had really yummy Japanese food. It was really nice to see dad not in jail. After dinner we did a bit of shopping and wandering downtown.
Driving with dad was a bit scary. He hadn't driven in 8 months, and within 2 minutes of getting in the car he was on his cell. His car is a standard. Scary!
Friday: Another day off?!?! Got up and finished my portfolio, then went out to UVic and handed it in. That makes me officially done school!!!! YAY!! Felt soo good to hand that damn thing in, it was more than an inch of paper!! Poor trees!
After that I got some groceries and came home. In the evening I went for dinner with Dad and Amy. Hadn't seen Amy in almost a year. It's scary how much she looks like me.
After dinner we drove around for a bit, then went to Amy's hotel room and watched tv until Cindy got back.
Saturday: Got up and went to work. Worked 4 hours, then had 2 hours to kill before I had to work another 4 hours. Silly split shift. On my break I walked down to Chinatown to get cookies and excersize.
In the evening I got to train the new guy. It went pretty well, he doesn't say much, but he's pretty good.
AFter work I went and met Rosalie and Crystal for dinner at Tim Hortons.
Sunday: Mom and Triss came up and we went for Dim Sum. Yum! AFter lunch we wandered around China town, then went to the park. Saw the baby goats, so very cute! All the peacocks were showing off too, it was pretty funny.
From there we went to Mayfair and I got new hiking boots, yay!
Then it was time for work, boo. Actually it was pretty slow and it wasn't too bad.
Monday: Another day off! Scary huh? Spent the day with Rosalie. We met downtown and went to Old Spagetti Factory for lunch. AFter lunch we went to the park and wandered and took pictures. Tried to go to the petting zoo, but we got there at the same time as a bus full of kids, so we ran away.
We found a beach and walked along it for a LONG way. It involved a lot of climbing and jumping. We were very tired and hot and sunburnt by the time we reached somewhere.
We were tired so we took the bus to walmart, and spent an hour and a half there.
CAme to my house and made some yummy soup for dinner. Watched some Voyager.
Tuesday: Did a bit of laundry this morning. Emailed a few resumes. Mailed Mother's day cards to mom and grandma today.
Had to work, stupid tuesday. It was busy and dumb and I was angry, but then near the end 2 customers came up and told me how wonderful and amazing I am and that made me very happy.
Getting home made me even happier. NOw I should go to bed soon, I want to go job hunting before work tomorrow. Need a better paying job with more hours. Stupid school being so expensive.

Friday (20): I know I went to work. Don't remember what else I did though.
Saturday (21): Went to work. That got interesting at the end. Chris walked out, so I had to do shortshift in like 45 minutes. Luckily it wasn't busy. After work Rose and I went to my place to get changed, then we went downtown to Kirsten's birthday. That was a lot of fun, saw people I haven't seen in quite awhile. I really need to get out more! Went home fairly early, did a bit of homework before bed.
Sunday (22): Got up and went to work. Came home and did my lesson plans.
Monday (23): Work. From work I went straight to my practicum. I think the class went pretty well. Always learning stuff every class. Taught about phrasal verbs and using the phone.
Tuesday (24): Busy ESL day. Headed downtown to meet my conversation partner. We went to Chinatown for lunch, it was yummy.
After lunch I still had a bit of time to kill so I went to the mall and bought Pokemon: Diamond, oops. Went from there to Conversation Club. I only had one student.
After CC I went off to my practicum. Another fairly good night. Did using the phone book, and a news story about the RCMP.
Wednesday (25): I can't sleep in past 9:30 anymore, makes me sad. Got up and did 7 loads of laundry. Had a nap, then went off to work.
Thursday (26): Worked. Came home for lunch, then Cole and Robin walked me to my practicum. It was a pretty good night, except I only had 2 students! My supervisor came again. She showed me the mark she's giving me, it's really awsome, I'm soo happy and relieved!
Friday (27): Had a pretty lazy morning, just played pokemon and stuff. Went to wake cole up and fell asleep. When I woke up again we went and got groceries. Then it was time for work, wee.
Saturday (28): Worked all day, it wasn't too bad. After work I ran home, grabbed some stuff, and went swimming at the commonwealth pool with Rosalie and Crystal. After swimming we went to Tim Horton's for dinner. It was lots of fun, but by the time I got home I was totally exhausted.
Sunday (29): First day off in awhile. Thought 10 on a Sunday would be a good time to go to Walmart, but I was wrong, it was just as crazy as normal. Got stuff to finish my practicum portfolie though, and got Mom's mother's day gift.
Came home and did some homework, then had a nap. Spent the night doing homework and playing Pokemon. It was hard to work because I was feeling pretty awful.
Monday: Well it's the last day of April! It's 9:05am and I've already been awake for 45 minutes and I'm eating breakfast. I've discovered a wonderful new breakfast. Berries with french vanilla yogurt on them, mmmmm. Cold though, I'm out of fresh fruit again, so i'm down to frozen stuff. All I want to eat lately is fruit and steak burritos. Sad thing about days off... no steak burritos.
Well I should get to work. Last practicum class tonight and I'm not done my lesson plan yet.

Thursday: Busy day. Got up and headed off to work. After work I came home and had some lunch and then headed off to my practicum. Taught a half hour lesson on pronunciation. It wasn't so good, I wasnt' very well prepared and yeah...
Someone came and looked at the bathroom, they fixed the leak, though they make the hole in the roof way bigger.
Friday: Got called into work, bah. It was actually okay though, because they were putting a new roof in my bathroom, so I couldn't use the bathroom all day anyway.
Came home and relaxed for awhile, and then Crystal and I headed over to Rosalie's house. We had pizza and watched Serenity. I love that movie so much, even if parts are very very sad. Nice to spend time with people.
Saturday: Up and off to work. Tired all day, but it wasn't too bad. Came home and spent the night working on my lesson plans and playing Chibi Robo.
Sunday: Finally a day off. Made good use of it. Played some DDR and worked on my lesson plans.
In the afternoon Cole and I went for a hike with Robin. We hiked/climbed to the top of Mount Doug! It's actually not that tall, but Robin didn't want to take the path, so we went up the side of the mountain the hard way. Really good excersize though, and it was a really nice day. My lungs felt like cement afterward though, was coughing and weezing all night.
Came home and did some more lesson planning, then cole and I went out for dinner. We went to the fish and chinese food place up the street. It's really good and really close I have no idea why we don't go there more often.
Spent the rest of the night working on lesson plans and playing games.
Monday: Guess what I did all morning? Yup, lesson planning. It's hard work! The guy came and put more mud on the bathroom roof.
AFter lunch I went to the chiropractor, and then off to my practicum. Taught an hour about Canadian History. I think it went okay, but the students were getting bored by the end, I think I was talking too much.
Came home and made pork roast for dinner, and cottage pudding for dessert. Yum yum!
Tuesday: Met with my conversation partner, then went downtown for conversation club. CC went pretty well this week, it was a bunch of young girls and we basically gossiped for an hour.
From town I went to my practicum. Taught another hour of canadian history. Didn't go too well, my material was a bit too hard for the students, and we were all rather frustrated by the end.
Dad called in the evening, looks like he'll be in Victoria for at least a few months after he gets out of jail.
They came and painted the bathroom roof. Now it's all fixed, yay!!
Wednesday: Got up and worked on lesson plans all morning. Played some DDR too. Then it was time to go off to work, weee. Had to bring Cole his coat, so I walked to work. Work wasn't too bad, except by the end I was very tired and feeling very sick. I've been feeling sick on and off a lot the last 2 weeks or so, it's really annoying, I think i'm just too stressed out.
Thursday: Up and off to work. Stupid debit machine died right at the beginning of lunch and that sucked. Grabbed some groceries on the way home from work. Ate lunch really fast and headed off to my practicum. Today's lesson was on Canada's railway history. The lesson actually went really well. It was my first really good lesson. Which is graet because I was actually being marked on my lesson today, so yay, i'm very happy now, even if i am exhausted and kinda nausiated.
Guess I should make dinner now. Oh, crap, mom was supposed to call back like 45 min ago, i guess i should phone her back.

Saturday: Up and off to work. After work I got some groceries and came home. Spent the night playing video games, and I did a bit more spring cleaning.
Sunday: Easter! Spent the morning playing games and cleaning the house. Went off to work. Work was unbelievably dead, so I got us candy and chocolate and we ate that all night.
After work cole was home from his mom's, huzzah.
At 2am the bathroom roof started leaking. Had to call the landlord in and stuff. There is a big drippy hole over the toilet. Fun fun.
Monday: Day off, hurrah! Went for dim sum with mom, triss, and jamie. After lunch we went for a drive and got lost in gordon head for awhile, then went to Zellars. I got easter chocolate and mr. bubble.
Mom dropped me off at home, and cole and I spent the evening playing video games. We started playing Tales of Symphonia.
I also made my first lesson plan, and tested it on cole, hehe.
Tuesday: Spent the morning playing video games, then went to Uvic and met my conversation partner. Came home for lunch, then cole walked me to my practicum.
I taught my first lesson. It was kinda scary, but it went pretty well I think. The teacher said I did well except for talking too fast.
Cole and I walked home. We watched the second half of The Hogfather, it was actually really well done I think, but then again I haven't read the book in quite awhile.
Wednesday: Up and off to work. AFter work I grabbed a few groceries and came home for lunch. AFter lunch I did a few loads of laundry, and cleaned the living room some more. I cleaned under the couch, that was slightly frightening. Also took some creativity to mop the floor when the mop bucket is catching water in the bathroom.
AFter I got tired of cleaning I made my lesson plan for tomorrow, then played some Maple Story.
Now I'm thinking about going to bed, I'm really tired, I haven't been sleeping very well lately.
Hopefully someone is comming tomorrow to look at the bathroom roof, it's been leaking for days, and it's really annoying getting dripped on when you have to potty. And the roof doesn't look too stable, having a shower tonight was kinda scary.

Huzzah for 2am rain in my appartment. Water is pouring through my bathroom roof now, and the roof is all soft and saggy!
Why does it always have to happen in the middle of the night?? I feel bad for my poor landlord. Keep waking him in the middle of the night.
Now he's going to make a bigger hole so the water can come out so the roof won't collapse (or something like that).
Finding the problem and fixing it will have to wait until at least tomorrow, yay!
And I was just getting ready for bed too. I was brushing my teeth when it started to rain on me.

Tuesday: Got up super early and studied. Went to school. Was going to study more after class, but I had a killer headache of doom, so I came home for a 2 hour nap instead.
After my nap it was back to school for my last Ling class. Had to leave a bit early because my headache was making me nausiated again. Came home and studied as best I could for a few hours before giving up and going to sleep.
Wednesday: Up early to study again. Went to school and wrote my Japanese final. It was kinda hard, but not too bad I suppose. After my test I grabbed some lunch, then headed downtown. I was early so I went to the mall, got 2 new t-shirts.
Went to Conversation club, but nobody showed up, so after 10 minutes I left. Turned out okay though, cause they really needed me to work, so I came home, grabbed my uniform and headed off to work.
Work was alright, only 4 hours, got to get some groceries on the way home. Spent the rest of the night studying.
Thursday: Up early to study yet again. Went to school for my Japanese speaking test. 15 minutes straight of talking in Japanese, ugg. But it was okay I think. Handed in my regalia reservation for grad, eep! AFter that I met with Gloria for an hour. She gave me a present of a notebook and some pens to help me with my practicum.
Came home and had some lunch then walked with Cole to my practicum. It was a pretty interesting night, talking about Easter and stuff. Try explaining easter to a bunch of buddhists and islamic people. It's like umm... 2000 year ago some guy was horribly tortured and killed so now a bunny brings you lots of chocolate? Yeah. Anyway..
Friday: What's with the weather? On monday it was hailing, and today it was 20C!! Oh well, warmth is very nice. Made pretty good use of my first homework free day in like 3 months.
Got to sleep in a bit, then got up and did like 6 loads of laundry. Also started my spring cleaning. Spent almost 2 hours cleaning my computer desk, it's almost clean! It's going to take me most of the month to get this place sparkly.
Decided to talk to work cause it was so warm out. Work wasn't too bad, got to close early because of the holiday, so I got off at 9:30. It was still super warm, so I walked home too! Yay for exersize.
Spent most of the evening vegging and playing Maple Story. I'm really enjoying this no homework thing. Sadly it won't last long because I start teaching on Tuesday, which means lesson planning!! On Tuesday I'm teaching Directional Prepositions, wee!! Cole's gone for the weekend, it's kinda lonely here. Oh well, i'll survive. I usually do a lot more housework when he's gone. Anyway, should be off to bed now, gotta work in the morning.

Friday: Got up and studied and then went to school. Had to write my in class composition, but it went really well, i got 96%, so all the prep work i did for it really paid off!
AFter class I came home for a bit, then got picked up by Mom, Triss, Andrew, Rachel, and Reid. We went and wandered around Chinatown for awhile. I got some new yummy looking noodles to try.
We went for Japanese food for dinner. It was very yummy and good, mom and I tried this sushi roll that had shrimp, cucumber, and cream cheese in it. It was okay, but not great. Rachel was being an annoying cow as always. Mom says she's fed up and we're not taking her for dinner anymore, yay!
AFter dinner Andrew and I took some leftovers to dad at the prison. Had a good visit with him. It was the first time Andrew had seen dad since before he went to jail.
After that I came home and spent most of the night studying.
Saturday: Up and off to work. Work was really busy and some people are stupid, so I was very tired and sore by the end. Luckily I was working with Rose. AFter work we went and got some groceries together.
AFter that I came home and put the groceries away, then spent most of the night studying. Also played some Maple Story though so I wouldn't go completely crazy.
Sunday: Up and off to work. Work was pretty good, we did some evil things to Marvin for April Fool's day, I wonder how he took it. We froze one of his dinner bowls into a bucket of ice, hehe, well when I say we I really mean Dave did it and no one stopped him.
AFter work I got some more groceries. Put the dishes away while I made some lunch. Had a yummy seafood philo thing I bought at Thrifties, it was really good!
Spent the night studying mostly, but also playing a bit of Maple Story. Tried to do laundry, but the laundry room was packed all night, boo.
Monday: Got up and studied. Went to the chiropractor. It was hailing! Crazy weather!!! AFter that I went to school and studied some more until test time. Had my listening exam today, I think it went pretty well, so that's good.
AFter my exam I came home for lunch, then cole walked me to my practicum. It was quite a good night, only 5 students again, but they were really good. In the second half I was working one on one with them on the computer on grammar excersizes. Each student wanted to work on different stuff, so it was cool. Except when I had to try to explain lay/lie, uggg, that was not cool, it's so dumb, it's not like anyone uses it right anyway, even I use it wrong all the time. Oh well, it was good, I'm actually getting excited about starting to teach on Tuesday. Eeep, that's soo close!!
Wow, i'm really in a talkative mood right now, but I have no one to talk to. Maybe I should take this rambling energy and write the essay I need to write.
Okay, homework time, then bed, wee. Hmmm.. maybe I should eat dinner before bed too. And shower. Bah, so much to do!!! But only 3 class days left, it's scary! I can't believe i'm going to graduate soon. I've been a student so long I don't think I know how to be anything else.

Friday: Got up and did homework then went to school. After class I met with my practicum teacher, Willa, at tim hortons. She's really nice, we get along quite well. After our meeting I came home for a bit, then headed downtown with Rosalie and Crystal. We went for Korean food, and it was very yummy. I had some like yam noodles with crab and veggies in them, mmmm.
AFter dinner we got some candy and went to rosalie's and proceeded to get hyped up on sugar, or I sure did anyway. Headed home on the last bus and tried to get some sleep.
Saturday: Up early and off to work. AFter work I spent most of the night doing homework and playing Maple Story. Made spagetti for dinner, yummy.
Sunday: Work in the morning again. Another evening of doing homework and playing Maple Story.
Monday: Got up early and met Emily on campus. She took me to the ESL study centre, and I volunteered there for 2 hours. Actually, there wasn't much to do, so I just talked to the other volunteers, one was from china and one was from japan, we mostly talked about food and stuff, it was cool, they were both very nice.
AFter that I headed to class, then came home for lunch.
Cole walked me to my first day at my practicum, since it's on his way to work anyway. I'm doing it at the Victoria READ society, which is in the old Burnside Elementary school. I mostly just watched the class, but I helped a bit too, and it was pretty cool. The students are all very nice and very hard working, and Willa is awsome. It was a great experiance.
After that I came home and did some more homework, yay. I've started reading Deep Fathom by James Rollins and it's really good!!
Tuesday: Got up and did homework and headed for school. AFter class I had some lunch and then went and spent almost 2 hours in the CALL centre doing japanese work. AFter that I went to the sub and worked on more homework until Gloria showed up. Talked to her for a hour and then headed for class.
Class was really awsome, they were presenting stuff on teachign overseas and it was really well done and very very informative. They emailed us a 31 page handout!!
After class was home for some more home work and then early bed.
Wednesday: Damn long day. Got up early and headed to Sears to pick up the pics we got done for mother's day. From there I headed to school and did homework until class time.
After class I headed downtown to GV. I was a few minutes early so I grabbed a bagal from the place beside GV and it was really good.
Conversation club was pretty interesting, my students were very very talkative and we had some good conversations, got to learn some interesting stuff about Korea, Mexico, and Kurdistan (sp?).
After that it was straight off to work. Work was busy and crazy and it sucked. I didn't get any hoemwork done except on my break, and even doing a rush job of my work, even skipping some less important stuff I still just barely made the 11:40 bus, and that was only because I ran for it. Bah humbug.
Came home and went straight to bed, was too tired to even shower. Was alseep within half an hour of getting home.
Thursday: Closest thing to a day off I get for awhile. Got up and did some homework and stuff. Eventually got angry with homework and played some maple story.
In the afternoon it was off to my practicum for the second time. Cole walked me again, yay! There were only 3 students tonight, but it was pretty good. Got to learn a lot about driving in other countries, so that was cool. We also talked about april fools, and the wierd things they do for it in india, hehe.
Now I'm home, and i should have been doing homework for the last 2 hours, but i didn't. Bad bad me. I did spend a lot of the time looking up taeching overseas though, so I wasn't totally bad. If I went to Korea I could easily have my student loans paid off in 3 years. That does mean living in korea for 3 years though!
Anyway, i need to go to bed now, must get up stupidly early the next few days. This week was soo long and next week is even worse, wee. But then I'll be done class at least.

Wow, it's been over a week, AGAIN! Soo busy!!
Thursday: Day off. Played some DDR and spent most of the day doing homework. Think I did some housework too.
In the evening I headed downtown to meet with Mom, Triss, Jamie, Rachel, and one of mom's friends Francine for dinner at Rathskeller. Mm.... soo very very yummy! Dinner went pretty well, didn't want to kill Jamie, though I did want to kill Rachel.
AFter dinner I had to babysit Tristram. We took the bus up to my house, he was so excited about the bus, it was funny. We went to the store for popsicles and headed home. We played with my mr. potato heads (I forgot I have 5 of them!), and then I taught Triss to play Mario Kart. It was pretty fun, he was suprizingly good at it.
We also watched Happily Ever after (or Triss did while I did homework). AFter he went home I just did more homework before bed, wee.
Friday: Got up and did homework and then headed for school. Krystal and I had to do our Japanese skit, it was kinda scary but it went pretty well. Some of the other ones were pretty funny.
After class I came home for lunch and then headed for work.
Saturday: Up early and back to work. Work was pretty good cause it was with Rose. AFter work I came home and spent the night doing homework and avoiding homework.
Sunday: Morning work again. AFter work I walked to Futureshop to get more ink for the printer, and then headed to Walmart for some stuff. Came home and relaxed for a bit, then made a super yummy pork roast for dinner.
Spent the night doing homework mostly.
Monday: Got up, did homework then headed for the Chiropractor. From there I went to school. After school I came home for lunch and then headed to work. Walked home after work, trying to get more excersize now that it's not quite so cold at night.
Tuesday: Got up, did homework, headed for school. After class I went to the CALL centre and studied for like 2 hours, then went and met my conversation partner. She was teaching me about Korea, she brought a guidebook, it was pretty interesting actually. Wierd how I knew so very little about the country.
After that it was time for class again. The seminar was interesting because it was on culture in the classroom, and every one of the 5 presenters was from a different country, so they really knew what they were talking about.
AFter class I came home and did some more homework!
Wednesday: Regular homework school routine. Had a big test in japanese, i think it went okay, well most of it anyway, hehe. There was one section that totally messed me up. AFter school i went downtown and went to the bank and shoppers, and then off to conversation club. It was really interesting this week, cause I had a korean lady, a japanese accountant, and an iraqi lawyer. They all had some really interesting things to say, so it was good.
Left GV and took the bus up to planet organic for some vitamins. Walked home from there, it's a good 20 min walk, yay for exersize.
Came home and did some homework and laundry, but I'd been fighting a headache all day and about 8 o'clock it won, so I spent the rest of the night talking on the phone and playing Maple Story.
Thursday: Yay for a day off! Got up and played some DDR, then had a shower and made lunch (french toast can be lunch right?). Spent most of the day alternating between doing homework and playing Maple Story. It's my only day off so I don't wanna push myself too hard. Also went and got some groceries this afternoon. TAlked to Dad today too, hadn't heard from him in awhile.
Now I'm just eating some super yummy dinner I made. I made Turkey soup. I went a little crazy with the veggies in it, but it's soo good. Also made it with the soup mix stuff Rose gave me for x-mas. I don't know what's in it, but it's good! I also made some nice fresh corn bread. Yes, I made it from scratch!! MMM... I love cornbread! Especially hot out of the oven. No wonder I had trouble loosing weight, i'm far too good at cooking food I love!
Okay, I should get back to work now, still need to write 2 more essays tonight.

Another long day, but a good one. Got up and did homework and then headed to school. Went to the library then to class. I won a game of simon says in class, even in Japanese I rule at that game!
AFter class I jumped on a bus and headed downtown. Went to the bank and then to GV for conversation club. This week went much much better than last time. I had 7 students again (not all korean this time, had 2 mexicans). This group was much more talkative and the hour went by quite fast.
After GV headed towards home, stopping for groceries on the way. Had some dinner and then headed back to Uvic. Met mom and jamie there for the concert. It was really good. It was 4 guys each taking turns singing and playing acoustic guitar. I only knew two of them, but it was still great. Guy Clark, who I didn't know wasn't that great, very mellow and kept putting me to sleep. The guy beside him, who I didn't know either, Joe Ely I think his name was was pretty good. John Hiatt kicked ass, as I assumed he would. Lyle Lovett was pretty good too. John Hiatt and Lyle Lovett sang "Thing Called Love" together and that was awsome.
Anyway now I'm home and very tired, I should think about going to bed soon. Maybe a bit of Maple Story first though, that game is way too addictive.
